About this work

Description

This short recording is probably a BBC recording about the life of Howard Florey. Florey talks about a career changing meeting with Charles Sherrington and his work with penicillin - Florey had hardly any contact with the discover, Alexander Fleming. Florey dispels some of the myths about medical research - their breakthroughs came at the end of the Second World War and they were not motivated by saving mankind!
