About this work
Description
A compilation of two films produced by the Ministry of Health. The first, 'Defeat Diphtheria' (1943), explains with some simple diagrams the nature of the disease, tells how the anti-toxin was discovered and shows parents the part they must play in protecting their children. The second, 'His Fighting Chance' (1946), gives a general account of how polio affects its victims and of the contemporary techniques of rehabilitation that are used. A number of cases are shown.
