OF LEGACY. “I give and bequeath to the “West Kent General Hospital (Incorporated),” of Maidstone, Kent, the sum of .free of Legacy Duty, to be applied *for the general purposes of the said Institution and I declare that the receipt of the Treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of the said Institution shall be a sufficient discharge for the said Legacy.” * Or for the naming of a bed or cot to be called the.Bed or Cot. OF RESIDUE. “ I give, devise and bequeath to the “ West Kent General Hospital (Incorporated),” of Maidstone, Kent, the residue of my estate for the general purposes of the said Institution and I declare that the receipt of the Trustees for the time being of the said Institution shall be a sufficient discharge for the same.” NOTE.—By the Mortmain and Charitable Uses Act, 1891, Property of all kinds, including Land of any Tenure, and also including Money lent on Mortgage and the Securities therefor, may now lawfully be given to Charitable Institutions by Will. The above form can be readily adapted to Gifts of Land or other Property.
