Notes on the Great Pyramid: with annotated copies of Matthew Lawson's 'The Great Pyramid' [1878], and E. W. Bird's [pseud. 'Philo-Israel'] 'The Great Pyramid of Egypt' [1879]. Author's holograph MSS. Illustrated with rough pen-drawings of Pyramid passages, etc. The full title of Lawson's pamphlet is: 'The Great Pyramid of Egypt, the Lord's Pillar of Witness for the identification of the Lost Tribes of Israel in the latter days'. It is here interleaved, and contains numerous notes and inserted slips, written by Hoyland. The second pamphlet, the cover of which has been cut up and partly pasted onto the verso of the preface to Lawson's tract, bears the full title of 'The Great Pyramid of Egypt. A digest of Great Pyramid teaching, adapted to the comprehension of the unlearned, and of the unscientific. ... Also an Introduction by Professor [Charles] Piazzi Smyth to a Paper on the relation of Noah's Ark to the Great Pyramid coffer by the Rev. C. W. Hickson. ... Followed by Observations on the inspired design, and the Grand Step by Major M. A. Tracey and Charles Horner'.
