ScienceGrrl is a network of (mostly) female scientists who are passionate about passing on their love of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) to the next generation. The network is led by ScienceGrrl's Director, Dr Heather Williams, a senior medical physicist for the NHS. ScienceGrrl aims to fund projects that enable girls and young women to pursue an interest in STEM subjects, and follow this interest through to a career. The projects funded by calendar proceeds will focus specifically on challenging gender stereotypes surrounding science and supporting students who would not otherwise have the means to take part in career-enhancing extra-curricular opportunities.
