    GARGARISMA ALUMINIS. Take of Powdered Alum . . 180 grains Glycerine . . .1 fluid ounce Distilled Water . up to 20 fluid ounces Dissolve and mix. GARGARISMA HYDRARGYRI PERCHLORID1. Take of Perchloride of Mercury . 2 grains Tincture of Cochineal . 2 fluid drachms Water . . . up to 20 fluid ounces Dissolve and mix. GARGARISMA POTASS/E CHLORATiS. Take of Chlorate of Potash . . 90 grains Hydrochloric Acid . . 40 minims Glycerine . . .1 fluid ounce Distilled Water . . up to 20 fluid ounces Mix the acid and chlorate in a bottle. Cork and let it stand for three minutes. Then add the water gradually with much shaking. Lastly add the gly- cerine.
