Vols. 1-8 contain articles on medical and surgical subjects written mainly by Hospital staff, with resumés of the year's cases appended at end. Vols. 9-10 give much more prominence to the reports of the Medical and Surgical Registrars, and also include reports of the specialist departments; some papers on specific subjects are included at the end. The vol. for 1880 [v. 11] contains only the reports of the Medical and Surgical Registrars and of the Ophthalmic and Obstetric Depts
