About this work

Description

A few characters look towards the man with a dark moustache holding a card at the centre of the stage, who smiles and wears a white apron. They are performing the play 'Ce bon Mr. Zoetebeek', a Brussels-based comedy by Jules Vanroy and Louis Bajart, published n 1913. We cannot find a record of the Friedberg camp, but as the number of Allied prisoners held by the Germans had reached 652,000 by 1916, the number of smaller camps proliferated
