Description

Transmission electron micrograph of layers of collagen fibrils in the stroma of the cornea. The fibrils in the different layers run in different relative directions. Transvere, longitudinal and oblique sections of the long, thin fibrils are visible in this micrograph. Each fibril is approximately 25nm in diameter.
