Description

Honey has been a staple of folk medicine since its use in wound-healing in Ancient Egypt. This programme looks at the use of honey and bee venom as medical treatment. It investigates some first-hand accounts of successful treatments, and also talks to Barbara Bush, Professor of Physiology at UCL, who, with her husband, Charles Vernon, has conducted extensive research into the use of bee-venom.
