About this work

Description

Harvey's autopsy on the body of Thomas Parr was performed at the King's request on 16 November 1635, presumably at the Earl of Arundel's house in London, where Parr died. Harvey's report is available in translation (by Arnold Muirhead) in e.g. G. Keynes, The life of William Harvey, Oxford 1978, pp. 221-225, and in William Harvey, The circulation of the blood and other writings, London 1990, pp. 165-168
