About this work

Description

This digital illustration depicts a cancer cell in the blood stream. Cancer can spread through the body either through the bloodstream or through the lymph nodes, which makes it very difficult to treat. The cancer cells break away from the primary tumour and can spread through the bloodstream forming secondary tumours in other organs, this process is called metastasis.
