Description

An episode in 'Hogarth's tour', a five-day tour of the Thames and Medway estuaries in 1732 by Ebenezer Forrest, William Hogarth, Samuel Scott, John Thornhill and William Tothall, published in 1782 under title: An account of what seemed most remarkable in the five days' peregrination of the five following persons, viz. Messieurs Tothall, Scott, Hogarth, Thornhill, and Forrest.

Set in the Nag's Head in Stoke, on the Hoo Peninsula in Kent, on the north side of the Medway Estuary. Breakfast was milk and toast
