The question of improvement grants under Section 20 of the same •Act was considered by the Council, but no decision arrived at, and no grants were allowed. General Inspections. The average age of this type is from_80 to 90 years, and their condition is moderate’y well maintained. Other property, also in rows, of a better type, were buil; about 50 or 60 years ago. .A fair number of these are owner- occupied and generally maintained in good condition.
