![Zymotic Deathrate. There were only 3 deaths from the principal infectious diseases, 1 less than last year. Two of these were due to diarrhoea and 1 due to measles. This gives an exceptional!}^ low zymotic deatlu’ate of 0.07. The rate for the Administrative County was 0.09. Fortunately there were no deaths from puerperal causes during 1948. This gives a Nil maternal mortality rate, which is very satisfactory. The rate for the Administrative County which is the lowest on record was 1.24.
