Lettering continues: "This extraordinary man lived long at an inn at Rippon in Yorkshire. By nature & habit, he acquired the power of holding a piece of money between his nose & chin. His chief employment was waiting on the customers & c. From the circumstance of his cleaning their shoes & boots he went by the name of Old Boots."
