Prescription book, containing receipts and formulae for medicines, including also entries for dyes, varnishes, etc. In many cases with added prices of the ingredients. Compiled by several hands. The earliest date appears to be 1812 on p. 62; the latest 1863 on p. 293, but the main part of the entries are dated between 1813 and 1835. On the first leaf are details of two shops, 149 and 156 High St., Southampton. The name Gillmore is found in connexion with various preparations of which details are given, and he may have been the proprietor of the business. Produced in Southampton.
