Homicide is murder when done privately; but if performed in company with one’s fellows it is a meritorious martial exploit, deserving of honour and reward. This has been the phenomenon in man’s treatment of the woman of his own tribe and the women of the other tribe ; only that his success in combining to conquer and enslave the women of the other tribe reacted injuriously on all women.
