    n -o- DRAINAGE COMPLaINTS & SUPERVISION OF SEWAGE WORKS. Durin- the year 101 inspections and visits were carried out and action was taken where necessary. SALVAGE During the year a voluntary Scheme for the collection of waste paper was organised in the Aural District and in connection with this work 110 visits were ne.de. INFECTIOUS DISEASES During the year 5 cases of Scarlet Fever were notified - two were admitted to the Isolation Hospital and the remaining 3 dealt with at hone. There was also one case of Dysentery notified. 5 Disinfections were carried out. MORTUARY WORK Fourteen Bodies were admitted to the Mortuary - all the deaths were due to War Operations. SUMMARY Merchant Seamen .... 7 H.M. Forces Amy » 2 Navy 1 Enemy Forces A Total 11- In five cases Funeral Arrangenents were carried out by the Council. AIR F-alD PRECAUTIONS In connection with this work 1937 visits were made. The visit's are summarised, as follows Viaita to Wardens’ Posts & Inspection of Equipment etc 236 Visits to First Aid Points & Inspection of Equipment etc 239 Visits to A.F.S.
