    SOME ORGANS OF THE PRESS. Dailies (Morning). Jornal do Comnttrcio, 0 Paiz, Correio de Manha, Diario do Commercto, Jornal do Brasil, Gazetta de Noticias, A Imprensa, L'Echo du Bresil (French), Evening Papers. A Tribuna, A Noticia, and O Seculo. Weekly. Brazilian Review (English). A commercial and industrial journal. In French. L'Etoile du Sul (Rio) and The Messager de S. Paul (Sao Paulo). Many German papers, especially in the south, and Fanfulla (Italian) in Sao Paulo. Also papers in Syrian, Spanish, etc. In the Provinces there are many important pap>ers, but space will not permit me to mention more than O Estado de Sao Paulo. In Paris there are France-Bresil (monthly) and Le Cour- vier du Bresil (weekly). In London the South American Journal (weekly) has a page or two, regularly, on Brazilian affairs. The Government organ, printed by the Imprensa National, is the Diario Ojicial (Official Daily, Rio). There ought to be scope for a new'spaper, exclusively devoted to Brazilian affairs, to be published in London, and as yet there is no Brazilian daily printed in English. The British Foreign Office publishes annual and special reports from its consuls in Brazil. These may be had through Wyman & Son, and cost from i^. each. The United States Government issues a far greater number. The subscription is annual—Office, Depart- ment of Commerce and Labor, Bureau of Manufacturers, Washington, D.C., U.S.A.
