Concerning Darwin's globe map frame; his wife's illnesses; General Strachey's machine in the Isle of Dogs; concerning first cousin marriages; in working out "your father's plant statistics" Francis created an experimental ogive table and sent it to Glaister to recalculate (copy of Glaister's answer attached); sending papers for constructive criticism; definition of a "fair curve" (letter dated 21 Jan 1877)

Concerning the visualised system of numbers; concerning Darwin's return to England and that they might meet up (letter 30 September 1884 also has note by Louisa Galton); describing travels in Italy with George Butler (letter dated 24 Mar 1886 and 9 Apr 1886 - the latter letter mentions Josephine Butler and notes that they held "diametrically opposed views", but she was charming); instructions on how to open his luggage box (letter dated 16 October 1886); letter dated 30 Dec 1887 has the signature cut out; diagram of pendulum with hinged plate (letter dated 22 Jan 1890); describes a memory experiment which Galton would like Darwin to carry out on his son (letter dated 1 Jul 1890); family news, particularly about George's son, Charles.
