    Ointment. LETTERS PATENT to Charles Stevens, of 31, Charing Cross, in the County of Middlesex, Patent Agent, for the Invention of “ An Ointment for the Cure of Sores.”—A communication from abroad by Marc Pbne, of 42, Rue Laffitte, Paris, in the Empire of France. Sealed the 22nd August 1861, and dated the 2nd March 1861. PROVISIONAL SPECIFICATION left by the said Charles Stevens at the Office of the Commissioners of Patents, with his Petition, on the 2nd March 1861. I, Charles Stevens, of 31, Charing Cross, in the County of Middlesex, 5 Patent Agent, do hereby declare the nature of the said Invention for “ An Ointment for the Cure of Sores.’’—A communication to me from abroad by Marc Pbne, of 42, Rue Laffitte, in the Empire of France, to be as follows: The ointment is composed of the following ingredients, viz.:—litharge, about half a pound; strong vinegar, about half a pint; olive oil, about half 10a pint. This mixture is boiled till it forms a thinish paste ; the ointment is applied by spreading it on paper cut the size of the part affected.
