    LONDON HOMEOPATHIC CONVALESCENT HOME, 3 6, ENYS ROAD, EASTBOURNE (Opened for Patients August 25, 1888). THIRTY-NINTH ANNUAL REPORT (for the Year ended December 31st, 1927). The Board of Management, in presenting their Thirty-ninth Annual Report of the London Homoeopathic Convalescent Home, are pleased to state that during the past year 186 persons have benefited by residence, against 173 the previous year. The total of admissions since the opening of the Home in 1888, now reaches 7,645. Of the 186 Patients received during the year 132 came from bondon. 25 ,, ,, London districts. 29 ,, ,, 20 miles outside London. 186 The Annual Subscriptions show a decrease of £17 19s. 0d., and Donations £28 11s. 2d.; the fees from Patients are more than the previous year to the extent of £127 3s. Od. The Home has received an award of £25 from the King Edward’s Fund, as in 1926, the Hospital Saturday Fund £25 (which is £75 less than the amount awarded the previous year), and the Hospital Sunday Fund £10. The Home has been distempered, painted and redecorated during 1927 at a cost of £74 Os. 3d. The Extension Fund now stands at £5,689 11s. lid., being increased by donations and interest on investments on behalf of the fund, amounting to £247 10s. 5d. for the year. It is sincerely hoped that a suitable site or building will be found in the near future and, with the generous aid of the Home’s supporters, the fund will be so augmented that the Board may be enabled to proceed with the provision of this long-felt need. In the meantime tne very excellent arrangement made with a Convalescent Home at Bexhill-on-Sea, to receive our male patients only, is being continued. The cost of maintaining each patient per week has been £2 Is. 5d. against £1 16s. 3d. last year. This amount includes domestic staff, rates, repairs, coals, lighting, salaries, printing (with Annual Report), and travelling expenses.
