    In consequence of the late Publication of the Reports, the Editor inferts the following unanimous vote of the General Court. Humane Society - Prize - Medals. # London Coffee-House, March 9, 1787. GENERAL COURT of DIRECTORS. EDWARD BRIDGEN, Efq. V. P. in the CHAIR. RESOLVED UNANIMOUSLY, THAT, in order to invite the learned to the important fludy of Suspended Animation; and to point out the snojl judicious modes of practice at fuch an alarming period as/that of apparent death; an Honorary Gold Medal be offered for the beft original EJfay; and a Silver Medal for the fecond in point of merit on this interefting fubjedt. Thefe Effays mud be fent to Dr. Hawes, Regifler, Bury-Jlreet, St. Mary Axe> London^ on or before the firffc week in March, 1788, without a name; but with feme correfponding mark on the outfide of an enclofed fealed paper, in which the author’s name is to be written.—Such Differtations as are not approved, {hail remain in the hands of the Regifler ; and on not being called for <voitbin three months after the decifion, fhall be deflroyed. The determination of the merits of the Effays will be veiled in the Medical Society of London, and the fuccefsful ones are to be publiihed by the Humane Society ; unlefs the authors fhall think proper to print.thenj at their own expence. v EDWARD BRIDGEN, Chairman.
