Griffiths, Gilbert Henderson (1867-1934)

The following is an interim description which may change when detailed cataloguing takes place in future:

The collection comprises five Burroughs Wellcome diaries belonging to G. H. Griffiths, GP in Deganwy, North Wales, 1906-1913, recording his appointments and visits in his practice, including obstetric engagements, amounts paid, etc., 1906, 1908, 1910, 1911, 1913. In addition there is one file containing copies of obituaries, and two photographs of Griffiths c.1930.

Accession 1344 (diaries) was purchased by the library at Wellcome Collection 18/05/2005 and accession 1365 was presented to the library at Wellcome Collection 13/07/2005, by the grand-daughter of G. H. Griffiths.

Gilbert Henderson Griffiths had a practice in Deganwy, near Llandudno, North Wales. He was previously Resident Medical Officer at the Parish Infirmary Liverpool, and late House Surgeon at Wallasey Dispensary, Cheshire.
