Strawberry

This image of a strawberry was created by combining multiple scanning electron micrograph (SEM) images, which were then coloured and shaded to produce this incredibly detailed 3D image. The texture of the leaves and gemminating seeds are clearly visible. This is very difficult image to achieve due to the high water content of the subject matter, which is not normally compatible with the SEM technique.
