    STEPNEY BOROUGH COUNCIL INFORMATION SERVICE. The Council operates an Information Service for the public at the Municipal Offices, 227-233, Commercial Road. LABORATORY FACILITIES. Bacteriological investigations are carried out on behalf of the Public Health Department by the Regional Hospital Board's Group Laboratory at Mile End Hospital. Investigations on 136 specimens were carried out during the year, 15 being submitted by the Public Health Department in connection with epidemiological investigations, and 121 by medical practitioners in the Borough. The specimens comprised 63 faeces, 65 throat swabs, 6 rectal swabs and 2 nasal swabs. LEGISLATION.
