About this work
Mourant was put in touch with the European Research office through J.M. May. In 1971 the Office agreed to fund cartographic work on the preparation of maps on the distribution of blood groups and other inherited blood characters. Mourant was awarded £1,200 for the period 1972-1974.
A.T.A. Learmonth of the Open university acted as adviser in planning the maps and put Mourant in touch with a draughtsman.
