    p ,% Paratyphoid : A case of Paratyphoid B occurred in our Area. Contacts were followed up but no new cases discovered. The onset of the illness took place whilst the patient was on holidays in Egypt, and the evidence indicated that the disease was contracted in Egypt. Infectious Diseases Following the outbreak of Typhoid at Aberdeen a directive was received from the Ministry requesting an investigation to be made at all Food shops of stocks of corned beef. This was carried out immediately and no tins of the particular consignment concerned were found in the Area. National Youth Orchestra An outbreak of food poisoning occurred amongst members of the National Youth Orchestra whilst performing at Swansea. The follow-up of notifications of the Youth Orchestra members resident in our Area resulted in Salmonella Brandenburg being isolated in all three cases. Mortuaries No mortuaries now exist in the area, but by agreement with the Llanelly Borough Council their mortuary is available when necessary.
