About this work
Description
An image showing dry flaky (dehydrated) human skin.
Dry skin can occur for a number of reasons such as having a medical condition like dermatitis or eczema, following mild sunburn as the skin heals and repairs or as a result of under-exposure to light and air when skin is kept under clothing for a long time.
By exfoliating and moisturising the skin the dryness may be minimised or controlled completely.
Humans shed approximately 1.6 pounds of skin in a year as the body goes through its process of cyclic regeneration
