    Archipelago ; and lie believes that Tinea imbricata is the same as the disease described as pita or Tohelau itch. In examining the scales referred to under the microscope, I found that they contained various fungi. There was a consider- able proportion of mycelia and conidia indistinguishable from the mycelia and conidia of Trichophyton. But there were also mycelia of a totally different aspect, some being smaller and some larger than Trichophyton.
