A magazine illustration exists showing this composition with the legend "Le départ pour la fantasia", confirming that this is the print described in the Inventaire du fonds français, loc. cit. The horseman, accompanied by a person on foot, holds a decorated rifle, and his horse's trappings are also elaborately decorated
