About this work
Description
Light microscope image of an abnormal two-day-old
zebrafish embryo which has been stained to show
all of the nerve cell processes in the eyes and
brain. This embryo has a mutation in the Noi gene
causing many of the processes (axons) to get lost
as they cross the midline from the eye to their
target brain region.
