    They were also shown the arrangements for extinguishing fire, which appear to be most satisfactory, and they wish also to express their thanks for the trouble which was taken in affording them an opportunity of witnessing the trial of the machine. We, the undersigned, being a Deputation from the Chesterfield Board of Guardians, have this day visited the County Asylum, and have personally inspected the Institution and the Patients chargeable to this Union. We have great pleasure in bearing testimony to the efficiency and management of the Institution, and the attention bestowed on the Inmates, and beg to thank Dr. Lindsay for his kindness in explaining the arrangements and conducting us over the Establishment.
