About this work

Description

Louis Napoleon Bonaparte (1808-1873), emperor of the French 1852-1870, son of Louis Bonaparte; and nephew of Napoleon I. He spent his youth in exile and attempted two coups in 1836 and 1840 against the French Government. He escaped to England, returning to France after the February Revolution of 1848
