About this work

Description

Olea Europaea (Olive) Upper tree sprigs with dark green lanceolate leaves. The fruit is the source of olive oil (an unsaturated dietary fat) used extensively in cooking and as the basis of oily solutions. Olive oil also has a slightly purgative action. The wood of the tree is used in furniture making and the odorous resin has been used in vapour inhalants for the treatment of bronchitis.
