A voyage by balloon in November 1881 by Henry Coxwell and Walter Powell M.P. accompanied by the artist W.B. Murray, from Seaford westwards to Crediton, published after Powell's death in a ballooning accident on 10 December 1881

Through the clouds by day and night. Getting balloon out of factory. Chimney pots and tiles -- all hailing Tunbridge Wells "all's well" Charging cumuli. Alpine cloudland. Mr Powell loq.: "Why, we seem to be in Switzerland". Solent and Isle of Wight. Approach of night.
