Description
Unspecified leprosy: complications
These anaesthetic feet are prone to trauma, especially when walking barefoot on this kind of ground. Trauma results in ulceration and infection, with eventual visible impairment and loss of the toes.
Good protective footwear is required in the earliest stages of neurological involvement of the extremities in leprosy.
