About this work

Description

This film demonstrates the taking of swabs from throat, nose, eyes, hand and rectum (to detect staphylococci) with instructional intertitles relating to the dos and don'ts of the procedure. Most of the demonstrations are on living people (very close up views in the mouth and down the throat for instance) although a sectioned plastic model of the head is also utilised. Small children having swabs taken from their throat and nose are visibly upset. A rectal swab from a girl of 8-10 is taken.
