About this work

Description

Various items of business correspondence, including copy letters by Burroughs, many manuscript letters in draft (often verso the copy letters), some notes, orders, and some letters received. Material from both 1891 and 1892 (predominantly from January to March).

Includes a letter (Gibraltar, 8 March 1892) from Burroughs to Sudlow, referring to subscription to the Liberal & Radical Union [Association] - "on the understanding that they will heartily advocate ... the taxation of ground values and mining royalties. They have heretofore been very lukewarm on this question ... the thing that would do the most good for the labor & capital of the country....."
