C.P.I Translation of lettering: To the most illustrious man C. Anicius Traustius [i.e. Redi], P.A.DF., poet and philosopher, Alphesiboeus caryus, custodian of the Arcadians [or of Arcadia] [i.e. Crescimbeni], placed <this monument> to his very dear friend in year 1 of Olympiad 619 <counting> from year 1 of Olympiad 2 (although the games were held in year 3). C.P. designed <this> CV is assumed to mean Clarissimo Viro. The following C. could be one of the names of Anicius Traustius, in which case it would stand for Caius. P.A.DF is undeciphered
