    CHAPTER X FIRING PORCELAIN The denture, bridge, crown, or inlay which is to be fired must be placed on a suitable conveyance pre- vious to placing it in the furnace. For dentures, a slide like that shown in Fig. 97 should be covered with silex and the denture laid upon it, building up where necessary to support the porcelain during the glazing process.
