Bordier is described on the first page; of him Gay-Lussac says: 'M. Bordier possède à Versoix un grand établissement dans lequel il fabrique de l'eau de vie de cérises'. He may perhaps be Isaac Ami Bordier [1768-1835], entered in Godet's 'Dictionnaire historique et biographique de la Suisse', Vol. II.
Notes
His invention is mentioned in J. Dujardin's 'Recherches sur l'art de la distillation', Paris, 1900, p. 175: but here he is named as 'Bordier-Marcet'.
