The single sheet contains the first sheet of notes for a 18e leçon, but is dated 7/7/1898: it concerns the formation of ideas. These lectures were delivered at La Salpêtrière. Produced in Paris.

The author qualified M.D. in Paris in 1879 and was Chef de Clinique à l'Hôpital de la Charité, Paris in 1882 and Médecin en Chef at Bicêtre in 1887 and at the Salpêtrière in 1895. Later (1901) he became professor of medical history and pathological neurology at the Faculté de Médecine, Paris.
