The man on the left is similar in style to figures in paintings by Giovan Battista Langetti (Genoa 1625 - Venice 1676), who worked mainly in Venice, while the surgeon on the right is similar to figures in paintings by Pietro Della Vecchia, who also worked in Venice at the same time, sometimes imitating the styles of other painters
