"Perhaps though you will consider me very selfish in absenting myself from London for so long a time and so preventing you from getting a breath of fresh air or a little trip combining pleasure[,] information & business. If so my dear partner you may be sure I shall be willing and happy to resign in your favour if you would like to go to the Exhibition & roam the world" [page 4].
