    nearly one half of the fpace which had for- merly been occupied by the bladder in its ftate of diilenfion. This laft being inflated, we perceived that the tumor had formerly had an extenfive adhelion with the fundus of the bladder ; which was found confiderably alter- ed from its natural form. The reafon of this was fufficiently obvious; for the bladder, in the aft of diilenfion. meeting, at its fuperior part, with a refilling body, (the tumor), was only capable of being dillended laterally: The confequence of which was, that its tranlverfe diameter became confiderably greater than the longitudinal. By thefe means, it had ac- quired a particularly flattened appearance; giving the idea of being under the influence of preflure. We now proceeded to examine the infide of the tumor. A circular piece being removed from the fac, upon the left fide, there rufhed out a large quantity of a thin fluid, of a greenifh yellow colour, fomewhat limilar to the difcharge that had taken place a tew days previous to the death of the patient.
