In these difficult days when he is the only male member of administrative staff left, a very deep debt of gratitude is owed to him for all his work and for the smooth running of the I lospital. The existence of a first-class Hospital is always a great comfort to those residing in the area which it serves, because in time of accident or illness highly specialised services are available at the discretion of the general medical practitioner, but in time of war the existence of such an institution is a veritable tower of strength. Therefore your Committee despite the many calls upon both your generosity and time without hesitation make an earnest appeal for redoubled efforts and sacrifices for the maintenance and development of this truly essential service.
