About this work

Description

The patient, a small bald man with a large moustache, cowers anxiously on the left, sitting in a hospital bed. In the centre the nurse, holding a temperature chart, gestures towards him while she turns to converse with the physician. The latter stands on the right, wearing a short white coat, pinstripe trousers and spats. In the pocket of his coat is a stethoscope. The floor is covered with shiny linoleum, indicated by reflection-lines
