Dyspnoea from feeling of swelling at the lower part of the chest only on Cough¬ ing .. Mucous rale .. Per¬ ceptible to himself on rising up after lying down, Pulse 70. Sleep disturbed by Cough. Dyspepsia. Heartburn. .Gnawingpain across the chest Expectoration of tenacious phlegm, got up by hawking . .Eructations after eating, Occasional head-ache, es¬ pecially over the brows, worse in the morning, with giddiness. Bronchitis, Dyspepsia fyc. Cough, in paroxyms of considerable duration, in the morning on getting up .. Expectoration thick as jelly, black. Respiration short on move¬ ment, and difficult from a feeling of weight at epigastrium. Tongue a little yellow at the root, large, and flabby ..nasty taste and dry¬ ness of the mouth at times .. Appetite bad .. fat or rich things and greens disagree. Flatulence with eructa¬ tions. .Flatulent Colic on any error in diet. Attacks of Diarrhoea every 2 or 3 days, with griping and tenesmus. Hoemorrhoids blind, Dysecoia ., Dimness of sight .. Memory bad .. Spirits low .. Quiet dis¬ position. In two weeks the darting pain had disappeared, the Cough was much easier, not disturbing the night’s rest..It became worse at the end of the month, finally to disappear with all the other symptoms at the end of 6 weeks. No report of the present state. March 1st, Nux vomica, Conium, Maculatum, Sulphur, Bryonia Alba, Phos¬ phorus, in the order mentioned at intervals of four days. There was speedy relief, with occasional returns of the chief symptoms, In November he return¬ ed, after 6 weeks absence, to report himself quite well. No report of the present state. Pulsatilla, Nux vomica, Sulphur, Calcarea, and Conium, in varied doses and at various intervals in the order above men¬ tioned Pulsatilla and Nux vo¬ mica being repeated at end of the treatment, In two months the Diarr¬ hoea had disappeared,and all the other symptoms were lessened..In five months there was no troubles but the cough, and some degree of dys¬ pnoea, the former of which at the end of the treatment was reported to be nearly gone, the latter much improved.
